our APCO partnership

Working under the guidance of and in partnership with domestic and global leaders in sustainability innovation - including The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) - Natio is committed to ongoing efforts to reduce the impact we have on the natural world. Together, we are working towards minimising waste, keeping packaging materials out of landfill and optimally preserving material resources, energy and labour within our local economy.

So far, our efforts have seen us certified by APCO as performing “Beyond Best Practice”. We pledge to do the best we can to achieve our sustainability goals by 2025 and beyond to ensure a better future for us all.

recycled and recyclable packaging

In addition to offsetting the carbon created in manufacturing our tubes, Natio has taken important steps to transform our packaging.

Renewable, recyclable and post-consumer recycled materials have become front-line priorities in our product development process, resulting in products and packaging that tread gently on the planet.

We’re choosing recycled plastics, renewable sugarcane and recyclable materials like cardboard and have implemented these across the bulk of our packaging, with the aim to have this implemented across all product lines by 2025.

To encourage recycling of materials at each product’s end of life, we’ve implemented printing of recycling symbols on all packaging, and provide easy access to detailed step-by-step recycling instructions to assist customers with correct disposal after use.

our path to eliminating single-use plastic

Natio has removed single use plastics across all gift sets, replacing them with durable keepsake elements designed for reuse, as well as more environmentally friendly material alternatives such as tissue paper or cardboard.

We don't plan to stop there! We're successfully working towards eradicating single use plastic from our entire product range.

A proud member of APCO, Natio is diligently working towards the 2025 National Australian Packaging Targets, with an immediate and ongoing pledge to continue improving our packaging sustainability and minimise our impact to the environment.
